Body found in search for missing man in Limerick

Tiernan was last seen on Denmark Street, Limerick City on the 12 December at 1.20am.

GARDAÍ SEARCHING FOR a missing man in Limerick have located his body.

Gardaí found the body of William Tiernan on the bank of the canal at Corbally in Limerick.

His body has been removed from the scene to University Hospital Limerick and a post mortem will take place tomorrow.

His death is believed to have been a personal tragedy.

Gardaí thanked the public for their assistance.
